Kristen P. James

Kristen James joined BEH in 2026. Kristen began her legal career as a law clerk for Justice Michael D. Wilson on the Supreme Court of Hawaiʻi. After that, she spent two years as an attorney in the New York City Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, and one year with the City of West Linn. Kristen has experience in public records law, procurement, government ethics, and other areas of municipal law. She is excited to continue her work counseling cities and other public bodies in Oregon.

 In her free time, you can find Kristen running in Portland, playing soccer, or surfing the Oregon coast.
